That is a beautiful car. Pretty much ideal in appearance at least.

The Alpine '89 325i looks like fun. I've always been on the fence about mud flaps. Depends on the day for me.

Saw 2mAn bid recently on a 996 911. That was the best deal I've seen on BAT in a while (early 996 w/IMS addressed for less than $20k).

Yea Ive been looking at '99 996 because they have a manual throttle cable (not electronic), can be found with LSD (that one had it), and typically dont have the IMS issue, but that one still had it addressed... local car too in a great color, but I didnt get to see it in person so I wasnt willing to go all-in... plus I have a few other headaches right now LOL

How this one didnt sell for less is amazing.
Bid for the chance to own a 1989 BMW 325is 5-Speed at auction with Bring a Trailer, the home of the best vintage and classic cars online. Lot #25,927.

Recaros couldnt have made that much difference.

That looks very nice, but wow those tires are HUGE. Best I can tell on this crappy monitor at work they are 215/70R14. That's nearly 2" or 8% larger than stock.

                      I'm seeing they are 215/70s.

Local tire shop probably told him that was the only thing available.

Yeah, finding something with the correct rolling diameter locally is a pain. It's an easy and cheap fix to get the correct size, but that involves doing some research online. After reading through the comments on BaT, it's a bit of a sad story with the seller. I wish him the best of luck selling it.

Looks like a very clean car. I'm surprised those 215/70s don't rub with the steering at full lock.

                          .
Agree. Hope he isn't making a rash decision.

The car is very similar to this one that sold on here recently. Will be interesting to see where the BAT bidding ends up in comparison.

I could be wrong, but TMK "Bison" leather was never available on E30s. It was only available on E23 745i's and L7's, and E24 L6's. Anyone else know details on this?

I have thought the same thing about Bison leather, but am still learning things about E30s after 15 years. I'm sure there are experts on here that can confirm.
