torch has been done, ask jordan about it used to have a video
rear subframe - pita but i wouldnt say hard, cutting through the bushings with a hacksaw blade untill you could bend them in with a screw driver was an ass pain but whatever
clutch/tranny swap - worst part may have been getting the output flange on, that or having the starter stick down in the way of putting the tranny back on until you realize the next day, worst part actually was having the flywheel resurfaced and not balanced afterword then installing it all back and not being able to rev past 1k for fear of shaking car to peices then taking it all back out again (i had the tranny in and out atleast 3 times) i think if i were to do it right now i could have it out in about half an hour not counting jack time
engine swap - took a while but the only instruction i had was from bentley, wasnt too hard i dont think
shocks and struts- had one of the oe gland nuts stick had to take it to a shop to get it off, fucked up a tie rod ball joint, not badly enough to replace it at the time , only to have it come out on my way to school a few days later (16 years old)
convertible top replacement - tedious
taking of the intake mani can be a bit of a pain
like someone else said, none of the jobs are really hard, just time consuming the first time (i havent had to replace heater core, wiper motor, but i think over christmas im finally gonna install the r134a components, ill get back to you on that)Your signature picture has been removed since it contained the Photobucket "upgrade your account" image.

my first job was auto to manual swap. yes, those top bolts were fun. But ive come across much worse dealing with a few rusted up shit boxes. sub frame removal for one.
ended up having to remove the blower, dismount the wiper assembly, THEN remove the wiper motor, and lastly the assembly would come out.... what a pain in the back!Comment

my toughest job in an E30 was actually a blowjob... I drove downtown to pick up this one chick that worked for TXU as usually did during lunch. We opted for just parking under one of the many exchange bridges that afternoon. Well, basically, she had braces and somehow we got hooked up. I can't even type right now cause I am still traumatized by this. She was laughing, I was freaking out, there was blood, I finally reached in there as best I could, "un-hooked myself", got over it and talked her into finishing while requesting she only continue on the head itself. There was no fkn way I was going to allow myself to go through that and not finish busting my nut. I have a few friends that never allow me to forget about this so....
BTW, it was in an 84 318i so I guess I had it coming to me (no pun intended). I've since then allowed another bitch to wreck that car and pay for one of my new late model E30's ;). Blowjobs forever!Comment
