            I think that's the idea.
            Makes me wonder how much more heat it would keep in the exhaust... for reasons.

              Ceramic coated piston tops. That is the idea, it'll keep the piston cooler, Oil temps lower. Possible less detonation. (11.666:1) Calculated.

              If the piston is cooler, is the exhaust cooler?

                I would assume that if heat can't dissipate into the piston, it stays in the combustion charge and exits the engine.
                Then maybe that extra degree means the exhaust is ever so slightly more expanded by the time it reaches a whirly thing in the exhaust? haha
