Thanks man!
 I'd say it'd be a good investment!
As far as body damage, I sourced a valance, a hood, and a passenger fender, and they're all at the body shop getting redone. However, I still need to find a drivers fender (for the flare delete).
I got a gallon of Rage Gold to start welding/grinding/smoothing shut the holes from my rear flares and side skirts, so I'll be sanding and grinding my life away soon. Everything but the roof, trunk, and doors is going to have new shiny paint on it, so I think it will come down to painting the entire car, as it won't be much more at all at that point.Comment

interested to see how this turns out. At some point, someone did a fender flare/side rub strip delete on my iX probably around the time they put the plastic bumpers on it.
It looks terrible, and they welded every rub strip hole closed (but didn't paint the inside...)
I bet yours will look MUCH better than mine for about a million reasons, but I do like the width that the flares add to the car, and they close up a lot of the wheel gap.Originally posted by priapismMy girl don't know shit, but she bakes a mean cupcake.Originally posted by shamesonUsually it's best not to know how much money you have into your e30Comment

Oh my gosh, previous owner mistakes are something I know far too much about......so I send my condolences.
As far as wheel gap, I definitely see what you're saying. I don't like the way they throw off the sleek E30 'i' body lines, but I think on the right car they look fantastic. I have a surprise wheel choice I'm keeping secret that, when on, will aesthetically explain the reasons behind my flare delete.
I do, however, have some more information on the GC situation.
Went outside to throw them on, only to find that of the "good" wheel bearings that came on my housings, one was totally shot. Coincidentally, on that side (from beating the hell out of it), the PO couldn't get his rotor off so he beat it senselessly until it broke, leaving the allen bolt and a piece of his rotor stuck to the mating surface as an obvious sign of what happened.
Also, there IS a special gland nut for the Koni struts. Now I need to find out where to get them. These race Konis use a spacer, around which the special Koni gland nut falls and secures nicely. You can use the OEM gland nut without the spacer, but it is NOT a snug fit, so I wouldn't recommend it.

I'm super stoked! It's not going to be an overnight project, but the coils and wheels will be done first, and then I'll be taking care of the necessary body work around spring when I can drive the Evo again.
Some fitment angles. It's gonna get a hefty roll/pull so I can still fit a phat tire.
Got the Evo wrapped back up tonight too!
