      Awesome. I'm essentially running the same setup, but I think that 225 is gonna create some major rubbage. My winter setup is a 15x7 et35 but I'm running 10mm spacers, essentially making them et25's. I just clear my rear arches by fractions of a mm running 195s with load in the rear. I'm assuming you'll be rolling?

        Just read the whole EVO-thread, nice build going on there! :)
        E30 325ix M50 turbo 7 spd DCT 4wd 840awhp @ 31 psi.
        E30 M50 6 spd 764whp @ 24psi.
        E30 M20 6 spd 675whp.

          they are going to rub massively. you can't roll the fender lips far enough to clear that, it will rub inside the body where you can't do anything.

          audiquattrot, if you have ET35 that's perfect for a 225. no reason to run a spacer.

            yeah i unfortunately was forced to run spacers, due to the rims not clearing the front calipers. It just missed (cheap winter wheels lol)...

              I was referring to the rim width, ie I can run a 225/45 on both a 15x7 and a 15x8.

                    Alright, gents, going to be ordering some tires here soon for the new wheels. I'm going with a 205/50 to sit nice and square on the 15x7. The car is my DD, so I'm going for a perf. tire that does well in the rain as well.

                    If you have any input (or have ran any of these tires) feel free to let me know what you liked/disliked. They're both around the same price range, and have pretty similar specs (speed rating, etc).

                    1) Dunlop Direzza ZII (the new Star Specs) - Great dry traction, with surprisingly high rated wet traction as well.
                    2) Yokohama ADVAN Neova AD08 R - Great dry and wet traction (possibly a tad better than the Dunlop), but slightly shorter tread life.

                        Picked up another iX tonight! This one is a manual sedan.

                        The car is pretty dang solid mechanically. Just had a new trans put in, VC passed the jack test, all axles have newer boots, strut housings were recently replaced, newer starter, newer alternator, rear Bilsteins, some sweet little Borbets, and heated seats!

                            If you want an iX, follow the snow! [and salt] :)

                            I got it to use the manual swap out of, and resell with my auto after cleaning it up to result in profit and a free manual swap!

                                Started digging into the new iX tonight. Got the trans setup out, and did a better test on the VC, and it's very tight. I also confirmed that the differentials were 3.91s, which was very relieving. Going to order subframe bushings, trailing arm bushings, and a bushing for the rear diff to tighten up the rear of the car.



                                Got a bit of a game plan as well. Going to pull the parts car motor, and build a 2.8L using I pistons, e rods, and an m52 crank. Once that's finished, I will drop the motor in the same time as the manual swap. Coilovers and wheels should be on shortly.

                                I'm getting excited about getting going on this stuff. I foresee a s300sx in the future.
