Not much of an update, But something. going to wider tire and fixing the brakes made it possible to drive the Dumpster Fire all the time, even with crap weather. It's still sketchy in the wet, but not like it was. I took it to work the other day, Wow, it does not like the cold! LOL This is when I came out at 0645 and started it to let it warm up before heading home, It defiantly was not happy.

Got my new to me Mtech wheel recovered, Using a kit from Redline Goods. It looks good, not perfect, but I'm happy with it. I accidently trimmed the cover too short on each of the lateral spokes, but I have an idea how to fill the gap, and make it look nice. I'm at work, so I will get some pictures Sunday evening when I'm off duty again.

On the bad list, I developed a coolant leak on the rear of the motor. The leak isn't bad, I usually have to add about 8 Oz of coolant every time I drive it right now. I *think* that It's the hokey hose layout I had to do to make the heater and coolant expansion tank work. I need to come up with a better solution. I'm also considering changing out the rear crossover pipe with a different one. I think the donor car had dual climate zones, and If memory serves me, I have the crossover pipe that has like 4 outputs, rather than the one that has 2, Like this one: https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-...e/11531702201/ and simplifying the hose layout, by using stock hoses like these: https://www.ecstuning.com/b-uro-part...218390710~uro/ I used some household 90 Deg brass angles to make a 180 turn to get to the expansion tank, mainly to just get the car on the road. The whole "Don't get it right, get it running." Mantra from David Frieburger, knowing I would need to fix it right later. I'm thinking that the time is quickly approaching. When that project starts, I'll be documenting that here also. My heater blower has started squeaking recently also, I'm hoping when I attack the hose issue, I will have the room to get the blower cover off, and have the room to replace the blower or at the least lube the bushings.

Update: coolant leak is coming from an extra port on the cross over pipe, that I caped with a rubber cap. I used the same cap on an extra port on the reservoir, and that cap was bad when I pulled the car from the barn storage.

To add insult to injury, its in a place where I cant get to it, without pulling the motor. FML.

Nope, it sticks out the back lower portion of the Cooling System Accumulator, and points down towards the bell housing. I actually had to clearance the transmission tunnel close to the firewall so this output didnt rub it.

Sorry about the late reply, I dont get on R3V as much as I use to...

So I haven't updated This Thread in an extremely long time, but I figured I would come in here to say two things.

One: The Saga of Project: Spielereien took some while twists and turns since the last time I updated this thread, Including a name change, it's now called the dumpster fire. The car ended up sitting idle in storage in a barn for 5 years, and a bunch of other bullshit happened. If you want the full update click the link in my signature, that is the most updated thread, and.....

Two: I will not be updating this thread anymore. I've been doing all the updates on the thread that's Linked In My signature. And that will be the only thread from here on out. Project: Spielereien, aka the dumpster fire, is alive and well, and will continue to be for the foreseeable future.

for the 1.5 of you that actually are reading this thread, I hope to see you over on the other thread. Lol

Kinda clunky, but the 2 have become ONE!...

                  Now get it done!
