not gonna happen. LOL. the pax multiplier kills me in SM. I'm focused on the little battles here, because I might actually have a chance :p

what front geometry will change up front from changing from h&r sports to race? i just though it will set the front end down better and get some reverse rack and have stiffer rates. I dont know what rates to run with an ix vs a rwd e30..

your control arms will be pointing way up - basically, you stand a good chance of losing negative camber, and it will get worse as your suspension compresses around a corner. they already point up with H&R sports, but not quite to that point. also, you will need different swaybar links to correct its geometry (although this is already neccesary with H&R sports).

if you want to go stiff on the ix, the best method would be coilovers, so you can set the height for the best compromise of cg/geometry and corner weigh the car.

i noticed my mounts for my swaybars have bent. lol. what did you do to yours?

EDIT: also putting race springs in an ix, will it be the same ride hight as in a rwd e30?

To the OP, can you dial in more front negative camber on the iX ? What's the current config ?

the links have to be longer to correct the swaybar geometry, it should be parallel with the ground - stock links will have the swaybar pointing up

not likely - spring perches, strut mounts, it's all different.

technically, yes - but there's nothing available in the aftermarket. my strut bearings are modified for max negative camber - basically the stud holes have been moved over as far as possible. I haven't measured it yet but it looks like 3-3.5 degrees.

Damn, sounds like you do need to upgrade those spring rates ;) Or, like you said since it's your DD try bigger sways . I am also running in SM, 550front/650rear, and no rear sway and no such problem :D

Chris, have you tried calling around to some of the sprint car shops in the Skagit Valley area? Dollars to donuts they can make you your sway bars as they often make them custom for different tracks/susp setups.

that was my plan actually - got the idea from you. I have an extra swaybar they can use as a template too. any specific shops you know about? I'm not too familliar with the skagit valley area.

here are a few more pics courtesy of crunk3. He got me right after I hit a puddle of coolant (turbocharged subaru blew up just before my run), and I lost all rear traction entering the c-box - ended up doing a full 360:

If the local race shops don't pan out I have some contacts with companies that can bend them for you.

Shoot me a PM if you need the contacts.
