They are really not at all hard to work on. Engine space it tight but there are work arounds for all of it. The hardest part is realizing they are not an e30 :)Leave a comment:

would love a porsche one day, as I've gotten older I've become quite attracted to them. Even if they're absolute bastards to work on, they just sound magnificent. Thats a real neat example and the colour scheme is coolLeave a comment:

Agreed...the soft touch interiors are absolute poubel (that's French for garbage). I covered mine w alcantara to get rid of it and to break up the all black/grey color theme.Leave a comment:

Nevermind how they look from outside, its about how they FEEL inside. I drove several 997, 987, and 981 cars and they never felt well put together, a lot like a fancier VW, much in the same vein the BMWs in the mid 00s dont seem to age well inside... The early 996 were flamed by purists because of the plastic interior, but its a plastic that stays consistent vs the soft touch crap that deteriorates ... Im happy behind the wheel of mine.Leave a comment:

Congrats on yet another non-E30 thread on this forum
you sure do go through them. Good looking car too, other than those lousy headlights. I can't get with Porsches for some reason, probably because the fast ones are super expensive and the not-fast ones still aren't cheap but aren't going to be much fun in a state with almost zero curvy roads anyway.
