Compared to the Porsche, Simon has indulged in something much smaller, with Lots Of Trouble, Usually Serious..
He's like a cat lady. He sees a car, and goes, "Aw sweetie, no, let me take care of you"

Final update on this poor-sha...
Snagged this pic from a camera car spotter person in Malibu before the fires. Took a while to get the pic
and then this happened:
Its gone.
I had been mulling this over for a while and after the last few drives, combined with picking up the Elan it was obvious its time was up. For a little while I thought I could keep both, but I have a lot coming up on my plate next year and when the right offer came through I took it. I basically sold it as close to stock as I could and it allowed me to sell parts separately to make up the difference.

Realizing time is flying and were nearly half way through the year with no real driving events completed I headed over to motorsportreg to see what could work with the schedule. I really want to make another trek up north for either another Laguna Seca HPDE, or perhaps crossing another track off the bucket list: Sonoma. That's a little harder logistically and so when I noticed that there was a track day at Buttonwillow on their new track I figured I would check the calendar. Wouldn't ya know it, the date was open! Knowing I would need to tread carefully with my wife because the next day is Mothers Day, I sent a feeler out and luckily I convinced her that we could do more family stuff on Mothers Day together because I would be out playing "Porsche race-car-guy" the day before!
Not really much to do on the car, I have a Brey-Krause harness bar that I want to use, but I still haven't purchased harnesses so that will sit in the garage. I do think I will install the muffler deletes because race-car!...Should be a fun video
Stay tuned!

Looks like that 72 Targa is going to sell for $48k which was higher than my offer and honestly the 996 is much better than the aircooled cars I've driven so I dont think its going to go anywhere.
