Don't get sloppy man. Do it once and do it right. You'll never appreciate a short cut if it means sacrificing quality. I took short cuts and always end up going back and fixin them since I wasn't satisfied after it was all said and done.

To go this far and rush the engine bay paint just isn't worth it.

Wait for money, do it right.

Jesus Christ... I mean, I expected a lot of spray paint and whatnot... but not this.

Matt seriously, bullshitting and insults aside. Go do that again... That is not right and it proves you are a lazy hack. Go do it again or buy a civic and get the hell out of the E30 world.

I'm with everyone else on this. Masking tape doesn't cost more than a few bucks. Grab 2 rolls and some newspaper, do it right.

                          I highly recommend this leveler:

                          http://www.harborfreight.com/2-ton-c...eler-5402.html

Picked one up a few weeks ago and it works great. Don't bother with their cheaper one. That thing is a POS. Bought it first and returned it after using it for 10 min.

What I see here are not reasons. I see a bunch of excuses and whining. When my first attempt at smoothing my bay and covering up the repairs when to shit, I wrecked it all back down and did it again. When that first paint job in my engine bay went to shit, I stripped it all back out, and did it again. I used bedliner because I knew it would be tough, look good, and had a very low likelyhood of repeating the initial prolems.

No one there to help you? Then man up and take care of shit yourself. I'm really not trying to be an asshole here man, but one of the things you have to learn in this life is that friends are great, help is awesome, but the only person you can count on 100% of the time is yourself. Stop spending money on parts and other shit, and go buy yourself a heater. Then when you have a place you can work properly, get back to it and get it done right.

Why waste money on a load leveler? I presume (hope) its just going to be used once then sold for soda in a years time.
