Just Euro bumpers.. been looking for other euro bits. but would rather get my car running first. Also ordered a Zender Rear Valance for the Euro bumps.

Can't wait to see that finished product! Nice to see other people in Kansas :) I'm looking at getting one of these 4 bangers, but a friend told me they are slow as shit and they are horrible. Then again he only rode in one.

They are definitely slow stock, but horrible?? noooo! Mine has 220k miles on it and these M10s are BULLET PROOF! yes, they make little power. but are very, VERY boost happy!

Any idea if the m42's are as boost happy? Also how do the stock internals hold up?

Not much power is created out if them surprisingly, the internals would need to be refreshed atleast. 8psi is most you can get out of stock head gasket. thats as much as i know, ill be running 8 then 12 psi on mine. After a while ill get a 292 Cam and MLS gasket with ARP head studs.. it will be a beast. i expect 240hp as of now, but after that stuff maybe around 330... all this im baseing what i seen other m10s do!

Why not use the stock coolant sensor? You just need to record three different points of resistance vs temperature for MS to estimate a curve. No tapping required.

Its precalibrated and also my old sensor is no good. Somone else did it and the wrong temp gets sent through ms. I dont know

This is LegoTheBimmers older and less-skilled/technical brother here (Live in completely different states)

When he lived here I rode in the bimmer several times and drove it once. It is slow, very slow by today's standards (Especially with me in the car) BUT it runs surprisingly well consider it has 200K+ miles on it. Although we have some suspicions that it had been rebuilt sometime prior. In short, it's not fast, but I have driven and owned slower cars (93' Festiva and 94' Samurai) and so has he (198x Fiero with an Iron Duke)

The fact that he's actually in the process of turbocharging the car is funny because when he initially purchased the car and posted his idea about turbocharging it on R3V everybody told him it was a stupid idea and to do an engine swap, me included, but he's doing it and it should be done soon. I've been bugging him today telling him to upload an update video and update this build log, but he's always busy between work, going to car meets and actually wrenching on the thing.
