Hartge h26 project.....the long road:) Oct 2014 begins:)
Started the hartge today. No problems and sounds good. How do you like the pictures? Not often that you see a hartge being used to assemble an m-tech 1:) Once I get the m-tech together it will be back to the hartge. Have any of you used one of those car port things you can get at Costco? It is 10x20 and it might just be the thing I need to work on my car in the spring through fall...

OEM+ or bust! reelizmpro: I will always be an e30 guy.. I still do all of my own labor TrentW: There's just something so right about a well-built M20 in an E30 e30m3s54turbo: I save my money for tuner parts.
Yeh, I have the kit about together, except the side skirts need lots more love.
Still waiting for an order to finish the fog lights and other little items....order is taking forever!!
:)

Best of luck with the project. I have an 85 323i that has become a Hartge tribute. Found the wheels in Thailand, the stipe kit in New Zealand, strut bar in Portland, and have an S52 stuffed into it as well. Hardest thing to find is hounds tooth seat material. Still looking for that.

thanks, yes the hounds tooth in black is very hard to find. If I could find front seat material , I would be just about done with my interior:).
Would really like to see your car. We come over to Portland a lot, so maybe next time we can take a look; or maybe put some pictures up.
thanks again,

Well, the hartge was not liking all the time spent on the m-tech, so I took about a hour and put the phone in the car:) My car had a phone, of all the strange things, back in 1985. The antenna is still in the back window and all the wiring is there. So I bought a phone that could have been in a 85 e30. Not sure if this was the exact phone. Have no way of knowing, and it really isn't that important.
Pics:)
Will be taking care of the side decals tonight. Have to talk to a friend and see if he can do them:)
Then the hvac surround comes out:)

We started last night working on the deco kit for the hartge. Found out real fast, that you need to have someone with lots of experience if you want them to go on correctly:). I am glad I have a friend that works in the graphic business and was willing to come over and put these on:) Sat. we put the other side on and I will post some more pictures...
One interesting discovery was the remains of the old kit that was on the inside of the door.
The paper work from back in the 80's said the car had the deco kit as part of the hartge conversion...just proved that the paper work was correct.
Car looks totally different with the stripes on the side...now back to the inside.
Props on installing a car phone! I love those things, where did you find it?
Thanks; the phone was from someone on this forum.
Got the new hvac panel in today...I can't believe the number of little screws that I had to take out to get it done:)
Now on to the mono wiper next week.
Will post pictures of the interior tomorrow.
