777- Kamotors E23 Turbo Build + E38 content and a hint of e32
Almost drivable. Decided to make some videos showing the 7 series and will be doing 7 vs. 7 comparisons. This video is just on the brown e32 as somewhat of an intro for it to my channel.
So car has some sort of electrical issues now... i haven't touched the electrical yet so not sure what has caused this, possibly a mouse or something.
As soon as the key is put it the car starts reading an rpm signal and the coil starts firing constantly. Sometimes it will very slowly crank over without me turning the key. Car no longer starts, the coil stopped firing for a bit and I got it to almost start but no luck.
I've been looking into the wiring but haven't found an issue yet, going to pull all the 12v power wires/look into the fuse box and trace them as the starter should not be able to turnover on its own without a signal from ignition switch.
So discovered the car has been pretty molested in its past life, found all this wire under the rear seat with 99% leading no where and 2 wires tapped into my body harness. This looks like the remnants of an old alarm system and an old stereo system. Car does work now but not sure why as this was all dead weight wiring that was not connected to anything.
I also sanded, used,
rust reformer and repainted the battery tray.
