Finally carved out some time to tear into the motor. I removed the head and found two exhaust valves of #4 bent (as expected). I took out the old valves, lapped & installed new ones along with new valve seals. Cleaned everything up and started putting it back together.
As per usual, there were a few gaskets, hoses, and seals that I thought I'd better replace so once again I am awaiting shipments to finish her up..
If you look carefully here, you can see the valve stems from the opening! There's my 0 psi compression!

Fired her up just like old times. Actually, better than that - I think I had a small vac leak at idle that seems to have disappeared now that I have replaced all the hoses under the intake. It purrs like a dream, should be able to take her out for her first drive tomorrow!
