I thought anthracite was gray like what is in my E30. Is the picture of the black carpet that you got anthracite or black? I want a black carpet like in your picture.

BMW calls it anthracite, but its very very very dark gray. Its black by all reasonable accounts.

                        Jordan is correct.
What they sell now, as "Anthracite", is black.

It is NOT the same as the "Anthracite" that is original to the cars, which is the dark grey everyone knows.
                        Below the radar...

I wanted to pick up new carpet but they didn't show the rear piece to be in stock.

The rear section is NLA, has been for years. Its not a big deal to recover your existing rear section to match the main.

Picked up about $1800 worth of stuff from the dealer on my way home, mainly exterior assembly hardware, trim, couple fog lamps, grill sets, heat shields, rubber striping, fender liners etc etc.

I also got the call from the plater today that the hardware is ready to pickup. Kicking out of work tomorrow early to go down and pick it up. I'm going to make an afternoon out of it and hit another shop on the way home to drop off all my aluminum castings to be vapor honed.

The vapor honing process is spectacular, its similar to glass bead blasting but the media is in a water based solution that cushions the tailored fine mesh media. The finish you are left with approximates virgin cast aluminum with no physical surface finish added like paint.

A familiar item as an example of the finished process:
