I lived in Indy for years as a kid, Went to Fulton and Ben Davis. At the time I wasn't Hardcore into cars. Nor when I left. But knowing what I know now, I am kinda apprehensive that I don't move back with all the involvement with true Motorsports there. Louisville to Nashville is a little bogus. shrug.

    Problem:
Castro Air box doesn't seal out the expansion tank. (HOT) Kind of disappointing..

    Solution:
Order and Install Z3 1.9 rack > Make sure rack is centered, and toe is set > Measure track width front and rear, Make square width front vs Rear > Clearance front tire against front inner fender on chassis, Set rack stops if needed > Finish airbox and to seal to inner fender.

Its the Holidays and I couldn't get a rack ordered by Rack doctor on Christmas eve day.. So maybe should have rack in a week, and doing the rack with airbox install will knock out the rack to do list.

Woodward steering is closed till Jan 6, So I cant order my lower steering shaft parts till then...

But this week I hope to:
Finish up the rear deck - Need some genuine premium speaker screws
    Mount exhaust tip
Buy plastic welder and work on Valance
Mount Alpline amp on rear seat bottom
Order Dash delete panel out of Alumacore / Alumalite
Remove 3000k Low bean bulbs and Install 3800k Hid bulbs

Months with time off are always crazy, Same to do in less time.

And after months of digging I have a J stock rear shock replacement. Tad shorter, but stroke is set about dead in the middle with plenty of travel. The older J stock rear shocks were E150 that most all of new bilstein shocks are crimped and not really serviceable anymore, A few back engineered a way.. But most shock shops don't want to deal with it...

Thanks! Car has enough brakes, luckily the 99's got vented front rotors. The swap I lust but don't want to think about is an N52, If then, I may just do all M3/ Z3 stuff. I hope not a path I have to cross anytime soon..

Maybe if the E30 ever gets a Big Brake kit I can transfer that stuff over since its all Z3M. Another project for another decade. :)

    Progress?
YES! Although I'm trying to be patient and get the daily up to snuff before committing to much time to Lachs.

Dug Lachs out of storage! While in storage I did swap out the Msystems for a set of wheels and tires I visioned the car with. At lease the fitment. Apex Arc8 17x9 Et30 With 245/40R17 Tires. I'm not sold on this setup, but I'm going to feel it out. I did want to swap out the Wood Steering Wheel and the Wood Shift Knob while day dreaming about the car when it was in storage, but after a short drive i'm having a hard time making that move..

TC01 Nov 2019 by Zachary Ketring, on Flickr

    My short list:
Airbox, Exhaust tip, Sound system, Cam timing / dyno tune, Tire clearance

    My long list:
Fix Rust, Wiring Update, 1/2 Cage

Always more to add to the list, But this is what is in vision currently.

To fit the Castro AIrbox I needed to notch it to go around the oil cooler hoses.

Being an early car the expansion tank was added at some point of its life, unsure if there is a template out there, but mine looked to need moved slightly. I cut the old off and used the factory mounting piece which I believe is the same as the Washer Tank mounting bracket. I actually used the airbox for reference, and according to other photos of the Castro Airbox, this is where I positioned it.
