Project Texas Holdem as moatilliatta named it is coming along. The car runs/drives under its own power now, which is great. I found some better than average 14" weaves for it and put only the best Petlas Imperium 205/60s on it.

The only part that I used from the original drivetrain was the power steering pump, and on first start it puked all of its fluid from the shaft seal, so I put a different pump on it and we're good to go.

I also found a decent but not perfect dash to replace the atrocity that was in there.

I pulled the cluster apart to investigate why it had a 5k tach, and it's just a full eta cluster someone slapped in there. Wrong fuel gauge, tach, coding plug, etc. Par for the course.

The manual early sedan I bought on a whim wouldn't shift into 2nd or 4th after the shift selector fell off on the highway. I pulled the driveshaft to get a good look at what was going on, and the shift selector shaft inside the transmission was bent. I (very carefully) was able to bend it back, and we now have all 5 gears.

The bonus was finding out that the input shaft nut was hanging on by quite literally its last thread, and someone *just* put a guibo on it. Good thing they paint marked the bolts, lol.

I'm going to throw some end links and some dampers on it and sell it, as I recently lost a bunch of storage space so I have to stop treating e30 purchases like they're on amazon

It started its life as a cirrusblau early sedan, and at some point it found its multi colored dream coat and now wears a combination of white, cirrus, and delphin

I've been ticking away on texas holdem (white '89 2dr). Got the dash out and windshield out. Found a nice but not perfect dash to install.

Manually opened the powered sunroof carefully to inspect and lubricate the assembly. I am relieved to report that process went well. Also found a good paint guy to fix the valence and trunk lid that needed to be redone.

My current warehouse is being sold come summer, so I got approved to build a 30x50x14 at my house which is pretty slick. It's not going to be a fancy midlife crisis building- more of a nicer storage facility where I can heavily organize/inventory my parts. das warehouse v2.

Would love to do radiant heat and make it all nice and fancy, but we only wanted to be in Indiana for a few more years so it doesn't make sense to go all out on this building, as I will have to build another when we move south, which will get more of the caddy treatment

Interior is coming together! I had to repair both sides of the stereo harness, ripped out a ton of junk aftermarket stereo wiring, ended up installing a TR7412UB-OR, replaced 79% of the trim, put a nice dash in, etc.

I got it running/driving well enough and sold it a to a guy just getting into E30s- I am certain I'll regret selling that one, as it had such little rust, but the white car is draining me, so it had to go.

                          -------

Texas holdem had 20 year old tint that was baked on by that brutal sun, so I replaced all of the glass but the door glass with nice stuff I had on the shelf instead of spending 12 hours peeling the disintegrating tint and glue off. Glad I did, as the pop out glass/trim/buttons had seen better days. The bottom left corner of the rear window seal was out of shape from the last guy not seating it correctly. Hoping it'll settle in once I get it out in the sun now that the seal is fully seated on the window frame.

I also replaced the cpillar trim clips/gaskets, as well as the a pillar drip moulding clips, as they were all toast.

I also found a nice parcel shelf, so I got that installed with some new Kenwood 5.25" speakers from Crutchfield. Sounds surprisingly good... I always try to use premium sound stuff, but with no sound deadening I was shocked at how well it sounded with some fresh speakers. I did the factory amp delete wiring in the trunk and it worked out well. Need to find some nicer rear speaker grills since everything else is getting shinier around it.

Dr squid wrote me a chip for the 2.7 so I got that in the car as well. So much work, but it's coming along.
