James, I am not too worried, but am prepared. This thing was an RV trailer for just shy of half its life and shows it. No self leveling or dynamic sways etc which is how I wanted it.

Going through all the fluids etc this week. I wont be tearing into the motor, I am going to nurse it until it goes. I will put in a 4.6 or td5 swap when it goes if I keep this rig that long.

I am jealous of your roof rack though. :P Is that a laser jammer on the front plate sir?

Just picked up a 93 RRC today and super pumped. I've owned a p38 and also a 5-speed Disco I so this is my third Rover and by far the coolest one yet. Needs some love but for $700, I can manage.

I just sold my p38 a few months ago, 2000 range rover with 204k miles, Treated me well for the 1yr and 4 months I owned it. I only sold it because the lack of power, it sucks owning something with no passing power at 12-13mpg. Sure loved the air suspension though, worked great!

Got the RRC to my house this morning, spent the afternoon cleaning. Some before and after shots.

The whole truck was covered in shit that was caked on like in this shot.

That cleaned up really well! Is that rust or just crud we're looking at near the rear door strike? That's a vulnerable place with how the door opens above the wheelwell.

Mine has the same rust......but being a black truck, someone covered it with black duct tape. :hitler:

It's rust unfortunately. Fortunately, that is the only really bad area, none of the other door jambs have any and none in the floor boards. Some bubbling on the lower tailgate. Overall its a pretty clean truck, I'll have that trouble spot taken care of in time.

My son's '87 had big holes where the footwells hit the floors in the front. Front wheels kicked stuff up there. It lived in Seattle most of its life - wet all the time.
