Talk to Will. http://willtillery.com/links_parts.html Be courteous and patient. And call during normal business hours.

    I've been DD a W124 with an OM606 N/A. It's a beautiful engine, but needs the turbo from a W210 in a bad way

Did Will just move from Danville Va to Lexington Va? Thought I heard a rumor to that extent months, if not a year ago.

I should call him for my window guides.....lost my old ones.

I was planning on popping a Eaton onto the 606....but I've been made an offer on another powerplant I can't refuse. Should take care of all my lack of power issues.

        Winter is coming....

I find myself typing "rover" into Craigslist a lot these days.

This was me last year. I bought a $600 P38 and drove it all winter then sold it in the spring after I bough my wrangler. I quickly realized I needed another Rover so I bought a $700 RRC. I guess I have a problem lol.

            Hey Rover Buddy's!

What do you think of this?

Run away? Or go check it out?

            Thanks!

Sounds like the Body Electrical Control Module (BeCM). He said there is an issue with the lights because of it... I looked up the repair and it seems pretty straight forward....

Hmmmmmm. I think I'll check it out this weekend unless someone convinces me otherwise.

So, a friend has a 2003 Disco II that just got wrecked up a little. Needs front bumper, grills, headlight, fender, hood, etc. Needs a replacement rear wheel and tire. Battery is dead and may need some ignition harness repair or replacement but all in all clean car. I think I can get it for $500. Should I?

I've been researching for a while. I know the 2003's have the potential to shit out at any time requiring a new engine. Shuold I just hold out for an early model Disco II from the BMW era? I want as little maintenance as possible. Wont be offroading much just beating aroudn town and doing stupid shit. Occasional trail riding.

It's certainly worth a look. I had a P38 that was beat to shit but still loved that Rover. BeCM's can be re-built, I'm trying to think of the guys name who will do it. I think you would need to ship it out, not sure if they do a core swap type of thing.

There has been a Vienna Green P38 in up state NY for sometime on CL, needed some work but I've always loved that color. I think it was for pretty cheap too.

If I were in the market and in the NE I'd def go look at this one. Sweet Rhino Edition.

Well the owner got real sketchy and stopped responding to me, so I bought a 2000 Outback Wagon 5MT for the winter. Range Rover dreams will have to wait for now.

The 99-2002 didnt have that weird oil pump problem did they? Low miles!!

Low miles, looks like it is in decent shape. If you don't mind the salvage title (I wouldn't) and the price is right I say why not?

I wonder WTF happened mechanically to that thing for it to cost over $7k to fix.

Someone probably overheated it and slipped a cylinder liner.

Oh shit, I didn't see the est. repair costs. I take back what I said earlier. You can buy a perfectly fine Disco II for way less than $7k.

...but that's a parts and labor estimate for a shop to do it. Easily could do that for under half that with a used motor.

Unless you get a nice long block with top hat sleeves from Atlantic British. That'd be the way to go.....but it's money.
