Also....anyone know if the RRC came to the US w/out a sunroof?

Since the roof basically bolts on, I'd like to swap mine to continue the slicktop lineup....

If I'm not mistaken, only the 1987 models had the no sunroof option.

Here's a good link with some good info about these trucks broken out by year

Hunter editions had the sunroof as an option

Probably be easier to cut the rear section from a wrecked one and weld it into my roof.

Probably be easier to not worry about it, lol.

I bypassed my ABS module on Friday night. DOT 3 everywhere. At least I have a firm pedal.

I'm thinking of dropping this thing at the local LR specialist to bleed the brakes. IDK if I want to toil with it.

It wasn't hard, just messy. My rear calipers didn't have a nipple on the bleed screw

Yeah the fluid in mine is almost black lol so I should do mine as well. Is it a pain or something? Or are you just being lazy haha

                          Lazy.

I hate dicking with brake fluid. I really hate the feel of it on my skin....

I'll probably end up doing it myself. I just like to think I won't end up doing it.

Aux fan has been running all the time....well....when I don't think it should be. Mainly after hwy driving, I pull into a parking lot and can hear it whirring away. I read live data with the scanner at work and here's what I got:

This is after 40 miles at 70mph, then 3 at 60, and maybe 2 at 25-35...then it idled for 5 mins while I got the tool.

212F is the cut on temp for the aux fan. I think it's probably running hotter than that. Brand new OE t-stat...I need to get the TDI t-stat....coolant level is good. I'm going to take it for a spin after work with the Autel hooked up and see what it does. I don't wanna take any chances with this thing's cooling system.

I'm thinking bad/no temp sender, defaults to cut-on temp.

Ran it outside...idling...and it got up to 218F and stopped. Fan was on at 211F. Went over the system with two infrared thermometers and even at the sensor it wasn't over 190F. Rad is new too. I ordered a new sensor, $12, be here this afternoon. I'll give it a go then. Thing is literally running cool as a cucumber.
