Time deleted my AC in a sense - it never worked, so I ripped it out when I swapped. Maybe I could get AC working again, but there are a lot of interfering items in the engine bay, and I would need new R134a versions of everything anyway. Few regrets over this one.

Too low annoyed me. Car is high enough that it is drivable and fits real tires on the wheels. I only went solid on the steering guibo, CABs, Engine mounts, and Subframe/Diff, and I don't mind any of it yet. If I drove the car more, I might.

I have resisted fucking up the interior too much. I did destroy my carpet trying to get the sport seat to sit lower but still slide, and I can't really un-fuck that without a new carpet, but it's well hidden for now. I do need to eventually replace these sport seats because they really are just too small/weak for my fat ass. Someone needs to send some E82 covers into Lseat so they can template them and I can buy them without sending mine.

Thankfully a lot of us have learned from bad financial decisions, poor ride quality, and bad handling to make better choices and not modify things just for the sake of modification.
Nailed it. I wasted a lot of money on shit parts over and over before I was happy with various things. Others still need to be fixed.

I bought those ESM 007 CCW knockoffs back when they came out because my Euroweave/RZ set were all bent to fuck, the new wheels were like $100 each, and I was drunk.
At one point I threw the old wheels back on the car and was like "wait a second, these feel great"

I felt like my ESM wheels never looked quite right. I talked to a guy a The Vintage 10+ years ago who tried to balance a set on a brand new Hunter 3D machine and couldn't get it true. He apparently emailed EMS to let them know their supplier were fucking them with bad quality parts, the response was to threaten him with a lawsuit if he posted about it. That was my first and last set of ESM wheels, which was before they went extra cheap trying to sell 5x120 and 4x100 patterns on the same wheel. Super fucking sketchy.

Ive always been a "weight weenie" as Sh3rpak!ng calls me... but damn these wheels looked good

However, going from those ESM wheels back to my SSRs was a significant weight drop, -1" wheel width but man it was like night and day on that car in terms of performance.

Mine balanced fine/drove true, just felt really made the car feel bigger/clumsier than the RZs - I assume due to the extra weight. Maybe I just got lucky.
I don't like how my new Dekagrams look, but they certainly are light enough for me to look past it.

                I'm keeping my resolutions practical:

                1) Finish building out the garage (epoxy the floor, install heater, install sink, set up tools/tables, hang stuff on walls) - DONE
                2) Build the new engine and get it in the car and running - In Progress
                4) Hit 250 miles running, run a timed 10k, run a timed half marathon - Calling it DONE

                1) Floor is done

                2) Engine is being built and I plan to put it in over the winter

                3) I crushed the running goal!

I ran 177 miles last year and set out for 250 this year. I hit that target on 4/18 this year. Then I set a stretch goal of 365 miles for the year, and hit that yesterday (8/21). My final stretch goal is 500 miles for the year, so I only need to average 7.2 miles/week to hit that.

I skipped running a timed 10k and went straight to a half marathon. My goals were to 1) finish, 2) be under 2 hours (9:09 min/mile), and 3) be under 1:50:00 (8:23 min/mile). I ended up running it in 1:41:48, so averaged 7:46 min/mile. My fastest long run (12.5 miles) was 8:03 min/mile, so I was SHOCKED to be so fast for the race!!!

I could post all my unfinished goals for this summer, but the only one relevant at this point is to survive.
I don't know if this is just what it's like having a kid, or if work for us is just crazy (or both), but there's just zero actual downtime.

                    Survival is key when parenting.

Much like AA, take it one day at a time LMAO.

I'm trying to maintain some strength and can only get to the gym 2x a week for about 30 minutes between work and picking up the kiddo...

Someday I will clean up the garage...

Hey all --- Fair-Price-Fred this for me:

                        M50 (accessories incl I think) --- 130k miles I was told.
                        E34 Oil Pan
                        S50 Headers

                        $$$ ???

Came free with an old chassis I bought back. So this M50 I may try to sell it locally.
The rolling chassis is going to sit until I decide what I want to do with it, and I have no idea what engine will end up in the car.
...And having an M50 sit in my cramped 2 car garage is probably unnecessary.
Need to finish the touring before I even consider doing anything with the rolling chassis.
