Oops, forgot to say in here. Thank you to everyone with recommendations for my America trip. Ended up a little over 3 weeks, 7800 miles. Cali, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Nevada, Arizona for about 20 metres, then back in. What an amazing country you have. Camped basically the whole way and under the stars as often as I could aside from when deep in bear country.
    Can't wait to come back.

Bummed we didnt get to meet up, especially since I couldnt make the Crown Vic happen, that would've been a fun adventure add-on.

Damn I was in Sydney in early July, I didn't even think to look for people from r3v.

What possessed you to come here in July? Shame, the e30 scene here is quite strong. Come back in summer next time

Random work event. Was only in Sydney for 4 days before moving on. Probably won't be a next time unless I do a family trip there. Was just so far away, something like 40 hours of travel straight including a 15h 40 min long flight from Vancouver.

To be fair, the winter is perfect. It was sunny and 17-20deg every day, which is shorts weather for me.

Get a campervan, travel the coast, experience life as it was intended. For the full tourist experience wear 0 sunblock, sit on the beach for a half hour, and become radioactive

The travel time we are used to, since everything is so far away we've just got to put up with it. LA to Syd is about 16h which isn't fun, but better than the 24h to Europe
