Sorry off topic, anyone familiar with Dinan E30 M3 J-Stock springs? I have a set. I’d imagine spring rates are similar to the Turners? Same shock/strut considerations?

Has anyone else purchased the front bilsteins from turners lately? The pair they sent me has standard part # on it indicating standard B8. I'd like to confirm with anyone else who recently purchased a set if there's any other Markings to indicate these are correct jstock valving. I contacted turners and the product support agent said these were correct but I'm cynical by nature...

IIRC the Dinan J-Stock kit is version 1 with the softer Eibach springs, that are supposedly copies of IE3 "progressive" springs (and H&R Race, which are the same spring rate as IE3 but "linear" spring design) which are exactly 50% of the H&R J-Stock springs found in version 2.

On my back-ups sitting on a shelf and purchased on 2/2019 directly from TMS, the Bilstein sticker for front J-Stock struts should say "34-003350 / P36-0335". More importantly the strut body SHOULD have one of those numbers engraved into it!

Thanks, this would actually be great news because are for a 318i that will see a lot street use too and I was planning to use Koni yellows. Do you know where I can get more info., or is it just from your own prior experience?

Right on, mine say the same, I got nervous when I checked bilstein catalog and those #s seem to signify standard B8 for e30. The strut body shows the same # followed by H2 which H2 doesn't show in the bilstein catalog. An earlier post mentioned the body was engraved with the custom valving, but maybe that was an earlier version.

I have a 318is and the turner jstock paired with koni sports are a bit bouncy but the springs id say are awesome, not at all too stiff but very firm in the corners on street use. I've used them very little though, winter weather sucks this year!

Got some used the Dinan super cheap from eBay, so threw them in a car to try out for a few races, and would agree they are very similar to the H&R/IE just based on driving experience.

The Jstock bilstein front struts I got from Turner didn’t have the bump stop cut down.

I was up above it, Now I'm down in it ~ Entropy - A Build thread.

                            Try this, not easy tho:

                            http://www.unofficialbmw.com/e36/sus..._bumpstop.html

                            https://www.r3vlimited.com/board/for...s-does-it-work

Good luck (as the first time you bottom the piston of your Bilstein dampers will most likely sustain damage IMHO)!

Maybe lighten up your E30 and put it on a diet as at 2290 lbs. (w/ recent sunroof delete) I have yet to bottom my J-Stock suspension out despite high downforce aerodynamics.

Here’s a pic of mine. Also bought cheap on eBay and sold as Dinan J-Stock. Looks familiar?
