OBDII will set off codes for everything. I have gotten codes for smog pump and evap (gas cap not sealing). Luckily, they were easily fixed. They do this stuff so you have to make sure your car is running in good shape otherwise you can't smog/register it. What codes did you get?

p1525 - cam actuator circuit (bank 1)
p0022 - intake cam over-retarded (bank 2)

they'll go away if i reset them with a scanner until the next startup when p1525 along with one of the intake cam retard codes come up.

the motor seems to be VERY healthy so far. i can't believe these things are set to run at 108*C. makes me nervous.
