Just finished doing the rear shoes and brake/rotor change. Doing the rear shoes was a pain in the butt. Took me a total of 3 hours, 2.5hours on the first side then half hour on the last one. All in all it wasn't so bad . Just now I need to try to get the ebrake tight so I can mad tight drift yo!

Well good for you for getting something done today. Ive had my ass bent over since 1 trying to get my sprockets to TDC , i found myself a trick though...or maybe i shouldve just listened closer

I did before tightening it but it always moves towards the end of me tightening both bolts on the tensioner. So i pulled a smart one and turnt the crank sideways to the left to time the unwanted movement in my favor , but it worked past a certain point. But i think i know what to do now... I have to get it as tight as possible tdc then turn it over then keep tightenig it.

I come from the Honda scene so this BMW stuff is all new to me. Luckily someone i know has probably the sickest E30 out there and they've taken me under their wing. haha! I dont have a car yet but I am picking up a 91 318is tomorrow so I will be chiming in here from time to time. Hoping to learn a lot from the people here.

Nope regular smog. ;)

Theres no reason a M20 shouldnt pass regular smog. Even 24v swaps should pass regular smog once they deal with the BAR. I am going in again on the 26th, I hope the software change will be the difference
