Today I rode in this at HPR. I won't even try to attempt to describe how awesome it was. Everything I've ever said about the GTR being too complicated, heavy, disconnected, or video game-like was ignorant spittle. Holy Shit!

Wow that's cool! How fast are you guys generally traveling, on average?

On glide, depending on how good the conditions are you fly between 45 to 60mph, plus what every tail or headwind you have. I've seen ground speeds over 75mph in the past. In the climbs you are near minimum sink speed which is just above the stall at about 35ish

That's sweet man, but why go all the way out to florida to get towed by a plane. Doesn't colorado have some great mountians to jump off of? Totally hang gliding ignorant, so if this is a dumb question, my apologies in advance!


Mercedes prospect: I talked the shop today, they gave me a bill of the parts ordered.... $1300 for a headlight and fender + chrome trim! all OE Merc stuff! I found euro lights for it in the states for $75 a side, and a fender from Rockauto for $64. I've heard the repo fenders suck, so I might splurge for the $220 OE fender already sitting in the trunk. Also Bekkers has clear corners for $39 a set!

I'm hopping to get this car for under a grand. I'm waiting for the body shop to see if they can return any of the parts, and we'll go from there!
