I had the same problem, solution was to remove M42 and replace with a better motor

I like to confuse people on the highway (since I'm at speed I have more traction and will do much less tire-spinning) but don't get a lot of interest on the streets.

Rarely. But my few occurrences have been with other BMWs. A 540i and a 335i. It made for funny faces lol
