nope, i still think its the crank sensor. but im kinda pissed off with the car so i decided to work on my bug for the holidays.

its a 65. this was the first car i ever worked on when i was 7 with my grandfather. he passed away on christmas of 2008 so i went and got it out of storage and got it running again. it needs some rust repair on the body but its not to bad. the engine that we put in 17 years ago still runs strong.

yeah, you should have seen how we used to do wire routing at the radio stations, the trunks off the punch blocks were zip tied every 1/2". I love me some sexy wiring!
