^^Yup, yanked my head. Toughest part was the exhaust manifold. The exhaust is apparently preloaded by the hangers to minimize movement- makes it rough to remove/install the exhaust manifold over the studs in the head by yourself with the exhaust system connected.

Did mine without pulling the cams though, which you'll of course have to do if you want to swap lifters. You're a capable guy, should be a breeze for you.

What I really want is an E28 Touring with awd and a S38 for mountain crusing. Sadly they never made a touring or an awd E28. But the touring was an after market option and really how hard can an awd swap really be? Haha dream big.

There is an E28 M535 touring that I've seen on S/W a few times. Alpinweis on 17" Alpinas. 100% sex.
