Swapping in a 5 speed is an easier and cheaper job than painting or wrapping the car a color that actually works with the E30.

I'd say the value hinges on the quality of that paint job... If it's a masked-over Maaco job or similar, toss it. If it's a full glass-out respray with quality paint by a reputable shop, it's worth it even being an automatic.

I'm planning suspension rebuild. Found this:

Includes two control arms. two tie rod assemblies, two sets of trailing arm bushings, front / rear sway bar end links, two E30 M3 offset control arm bushings, two rear subframe mounts, and two locking tabs.$519.88


Bigger picture

1. Is it good price for the kit?
2. Will I need to get any bushings pressed in/out?
3. Anything else I should replace?

The diff bushing is fine, struts and springs have been replaced couple of months ago.

The new bushings will need to be pressed on to the control arms. You will have to press the bushings/mounts out of your subframe and press the new ones in. Sometimes removing the control arms from the subframe can be a pain.

You will have to press the bushings/mounts out of your subframe and press the new ones in. Sometimes removing the control arms from the subframe can be a pain.

Here you are talking about rear subframe, correct?

I got the rears on. Sucks only having an hour or so to work on it between work/school/sleep!



Rears used to stick out almost as far as the fronts and now they tuck! I'm not sure I'm sold on the look yet though. Hopefully they grow on me.

The lollipops, Personally gonna probably go with the prepressed condor speed CABs what I cant decide Is whether or not I want M3 offset or normal centered ones. But if I get swayed by E30rooster I know what ill buy haha.

I was thinking about the condor offset CABs too. I haven't checked out my control arms yet though. Hopefully they aren't too beat.

That kit looks like a good deal. Lemferder arms are normally like 120ea.
