Need advice on wiring an early starter to a late model harness.. Mainly what to do with the Unloader Relay Wire (Black/Green Stripe).

Mine's not connected any everything works just fine. 89' harness and 84' starter. I only have two wires (plus the thick red) connected and the unloader i left off.

edit: its a racecar so i dont have windows/sunroof/ whatever else to worry about.
Also when i went to start it for the first time i had the black/yellow on the wrong spade, wouldn't crank. IIRC it goes on the bottom one not the top one (could be backwards, moral of the story is if it doesnt crank switch the black and yellow to the other spade).

KEV with it setup the way you have it are you able to roll windows down? That's my main concern.

Did you have to add a spade connector to the black and yellow wire? PM me. That may be easier! The car in question is a track car as well.

IIRC, the starter i'm dealing with (early) only has two threaded posts, and one spade on TOP in the middle between the two threaded posts. I'll double check for a second spade below the posts when I'm home. Thanks.

Thinking of plastidipping my whole car in matte red. I heard it only last for a month or two tops.

Got my starter situation all figured out. Verified car turns over with the flywheel/starter combo.

Top of my coil broke off, car won't start. Good thing I have a girlfriend that knows her way around a car and can bring me one off the parts car :)

Glad you figured it out, Paolo. Sorry for not responding, just super busy today and forgot to. Did you just hook up the two small wires to the one small post?
