Lol, to be honest the s14 is just part of it's charm. If bmw had a more technologically advanced, lighter 6 cylinder, during the development of the m3 they would have put it in there. Bmw had either an m20 or an m30, both 12v and heavy. There was the s38, but that still would have been too heavy. An aluminum block 24v would have been fucking insane from the factory in an e30m. It could have been a better car. Hate me.

I swear the m3 discussion comes up every month or two.. Besides being a good looking car, use your money wisely and purchase property instead. Enjoy your standard e30. My

Buy all of the property that you can. First time home buyers can put as little as 3.5% down, easy peasy. My house is closing today, doubled in value in four years; houses in the PNW are going up at roughly 8% annually; such a good investment.

you gotta remember that most of the newer generation E30 owners are now in the 16-21 demographic...most of which aren't even thinking about paying for rent hahaha.

BUT i do have to agree here...Property> everything else.

I'm a Property manager and accounts receivable at my current work place...the amount of money that flows thru here each month is ridiiiiiiiiiculous.

it makes you realize how poor you are hahaha

the truth! Our house after 11 years is almost triple what we bought it for, and if we had it reappraised, it would be even more (the basement remodel and addition of another bedroom and full bathroom are still not technically included on tax valuations yet.)

I just hope the low interest rates hold for another year or so. I'm graduating in June and would love to jump into my own place!

I don't really know, the po said they were "s14 grinds" and that Kevin Doyle built the motor for his racecar but didn't run it in any races. It's fast though, I've run the 1/8th mile and based on 9.672@ 52.9 MPH and weight of 2,740 it made 143 whp /159 bhp...

I weighed it the other day at a truck stop and it was 2,760 with me, a FULL tank of gas, a bunch of textbooks and assorted crap.

What's graduating have to do with anything? I was still in school, no reason to hold off if you can make it work. I got a $10k loan from fam, legally allowed to be added to your bank account as a gift if they write a letter stating that.

I'm not trying to insinuate that $10k is nothing, that it's just available to everyone.

Just saying that graduating school has absolutely nothing to do with buying a house. Having a downpayment and a job does.

Maybe... I should sell my truck to free up some cash for that. I'm still thinking that graduation=better $ job. (accounting degree)

I really dont want to argue, but yes honda made shit engines for their passenger cars in the 80s

but, you should know this, Honda has been one of the top racing and motorcycle engine manufacturers of all time - and just because their passenger car engines were meh doesnt mean they didnt know how to build some real cool stuff. They were one of the most innovative manufacturers in Formula 1 in the mid 60s before they dropped out due to a deadly crash
