threebond 1184 and done, aviation sealer Ive been wanting to try...

my procedure I sand the block with 320grit or similar and then use red permatex high tack gasket sealant, brush both sides of water pump gasket then stick it to the water pump and install.

Thats pretty much what I did, I think its a consequence the rush or the cold.

Used Permatex water pump gasket IIRC, usually worked for me before.

I've always used the gasket with some aviation sealer on the water pump side and it works well. YMMV

I too have experienced the wonders of that brown aviation sealer. Killer stuff.

How easy is aviation sealer to remove? I do hate scraping gaskets.

IMHO Red Coupe w/ Alpina Valence is a good look but KAmotors owns that look. Just my .02

You got a pic of that golfball knob?

Yeah, it is just such a good look though. I really love the look but I feel like a douche straight copying him.

I have some pics in my for sale thread. It's brand new, if you guys shop around and find the cheapest price shipped I'll knock 5 bucks off it.

jaffster knob all day. theres a reason others have copied it. the way your hand is able to roll off the rounded edges is very nice, the weight of it is sweet, I really enjoy it. Going to compare to my new ZHP knob tomorrow (thanks hanK!!)

I use e60 545 sport shift lever, and my bro has a z3 1.9 in his e28 with the generic new BMW style plastic knob... dont care for it. the super short e60 lever combined with the tall height (and weight) of the jaffster knob means it takes very little force to actually make shifts, yet the throws are still notchy feeling and very accurate.

Need a little help on an S50 swap into an '87 325i.
On the C101 pin 20 (chassis side) I have a brown wire. I can't find reference of this pin anywhere in the ETM. The one reference I've found online says I can just ground this pin to the chassis.
Does anyone know what the deal is?

                              Thanks in advanced!
