There is a 87 325is black on cardinal manual on BMW Puget Sound forums as well. He slid and hit a tree which shifted the front end ~1" he says, but still runs and drives fine. He is asking $2k obo. 185k, new H+R suspension in the last few years. Could certainly be worth a look, and at least he is honest about the car.

a little rough around the edges, but this seems like a decent deal if it runs good
I don't think there's a car on cl that I haven't seen lol. I wouldn't be against something like that if it was manual. I like the looks of the 325es I mentioned, planning on looking at it tomorrow, I'll report back if I end up buying.

Straight, rust free cars with good paint are ideal.

engines are easy to swap, so are control arms and suspensions. neglected rear subframe/trailing arm bushings can be a pain to replace.
Agreed. I'd rather have a high mile well maintained car over a low mile heavily modified car. People think that mileage is everything

lol definitely. I turned my dad into an E30 believer after I let him borrow my car for a few days (in stock form). He gave it back and was like, "I cant believe how well it drives with that many miles...handles like new and is super fun." But then again, he's a gear head as well.

What about a low mileage, un-modified car?

Might be having one up for sale soon..

You saying I might not get 10K for an unmolested '88 Bronzit???!?

Damn, I was hoping the bubble would be inflating on these in the next month like they are for rusty Porsche's

Rip, id pay 6k for an autotragic minty sedan. But not 10k. Especially if it has park benches and not plastics.

Id hold onto it and DD it.

Don't think I'd consider 142k low miles.. I'd say 5 speed swap it and you might be able to squeeze 4k$

Actually, I'm going to put it all back together and just try for $2500.

Picked up another car for driver status. More info to come..
