It's completely hipster everyone wants it because it's different. If we got tourings here they'd all be rotting along side 510 wagons.

what's wrong with an e30 with some additional utility? maybe that concept is lost on someone who has a barely-running shitpile

That's 3 barely running shit piles!

I just don't see the attraction, I think they're cool because they're rare here, but that's the hipster in me talking. Realistically an e34 touring makes a lot more sense.

I'm with Seth on this one. Why would anyone want a top heavy e30. E30s are sup posed to handle well, seeing that they're slow as shit.

except that an e34 wont handle as well?

i dont think it's worth paying a crazy price premium that some people expect for them

..I've actually always been a station wagon fan. I used to bracket race a '78 Olds Cutlass wagon (G Body) in High School and also owned a '63 Chevy II long roof. As well the E34 touring I traded for a Bronzit E30.

Some people like beards, I like station wagons.

Hit the nail on the head. I wouldn't mind a rough E30 touring as a good shop beater.

Yes an e34 won't handle well but if you're buying a car for handling the touring is the last thing you would want.

That's a proper wagon, I had a 64 4 door. It was lame I cut it up. I6 and 4 lug, it was basically an e30 sedan.

i think part of the reason people dont like e30 tourings, is because they cant afford them. Id drive 1.

its a tool, for hauling stuff, and you dont have to ruin your back seats

                              E30 Touring > Standard E30...anyday.

Reason being: far more utilitarian, but i still get my E30 fix. And any suspension upgrades that might yield to a less superior handling machine can be fixed with bolt-on's.

It's the perfect daily driver and the weight difference (in my opinion) is negligible. Throw an S54 into it and you have the Ultimate dad-mobile.
