Do you guys think that the event will keep jumping around to different spots or will they go back to Hotsprings eventually?

I'm going. Not sure if in the E30 (likely) or the E24 yet.

I think Scott wants to be back at Hot Springs, but there's a lot of factors to that.

We stayed in Hot Springs October of '25 and they had just opened the Tavern back up. The Hot Springs Resort wasn't back to full function yet, I don't think, but the campgrounds were open.

The event has also been expanding quite a bit, and Hot Springs is a 450 cap venue, so the airport and now Maggie Valley have allowed him to meet demand despite the crowd dynamic changing a bit.

I'm ready for it to be back in Hot Springs!

I planned on going this year, but looks like I'm pushing it to the 2027 Vintage. I think my last year going was 2015 or 2016.

Years ago I missed out on a lot of car meets and events. So I made a promise to myself that I would go to everything that I can,. That is when presented the opportunity.

Sometimes life has other plans. But if you can swing it. I say let her eat.

Yeah, I wish I could make it this year, but it just isn't in the cards. Next year though, I should have the new engine in, probably AC, and maybe even the turbo!

Alright... I'll try to have my car in working order and have all the kinks ironed out by The 2027 Vintage as well. And I'll join you on the long trek down there lol.

My original goal was to have my car driving before the first road salt of next winter. So this gives me some buffer, if I fail at that goal lol.

working =/= reliable, and reliable isn't needed for a road trip because we can bring tools. One of the last times I went, someone blew a head gasket and random people helped change it in the hotel parking lot, it worked out great!
