Polishing the instrument cluster plastic cover
As many of you know, the gauge cluster plastic easily scratches each and every time you wipe that dust off. It always drove me crazy when the sunlight hits it and you see all the swirls and scratches....

Sure you can if you change to the later style cooling system...water pump, coolant reservoir and get the cross over pipe. Not sure if there is an easier way to do it without converting....

The plastic on the side mirrors cannot be separated easily. I suggest removing the entire housing and painting it...just remove the glass and mask the motor. The 3rd brake light on the decklid has like...

I can imagine. Did the new batch come with TUV papers and separate reflectors?...

Nah, I have NOS Startecs and have owned many, many sets. They were never as dark as the new batch. Even the later smoked sets aren't as dark....

I'm don't think so since the 3rd brake light is a US thing. I don't recall ever seeing an OEM M tech 2 with the light...only aftermarket which makes sense. Have you checked realOEM?...

I've bought used dashes when they were $100-200 like 15 years ago and they haven't cracked on me yet (knock on wood). My M3 has the original dash and it's flawless. If the previous owners took care...

Sweet. Here's an image of the M technic sticker and placement. There is an indentation in the corner of the original front fender pods on both left/right side.

I never liked caps...they always seem to warp over time if you live in a warm climate. Imagining a warped one with a wrap on it to make it look nice is cringey to me....

Sounds like you're talking about the M technic stickers. On the M tech 2 there's only small stickers on the front fender pod. The M tech 2 rear decklid spoiler also had a sticker....

^The issue is the lower side skirt isn't made for the thick convertible rocker panel. I don't know if they have reproduced the convertible specific side skirt but the coupe/sedan one will still work but...
