Thanks for the review. I used to be one of those H&R race guys who would say there was no reason to go with coilovers until i drove an e30 with linear springs rates. I was sold.

The orange car is one of the cars the Castros built for the tour. I have not personally driven any of the cars but i have been told the suspension setups compliment the cars very nicely. I believe two of the cars are on Bilsteins and one is on Konis.

No sectioning. Only perch cutting was done for aesthetics.

I have GE Coils all the way down in front and .9" from all the way down in back, Billy sports with cut bumpstops, cheap dirty camber plates, and offset CABs.

I used to have the same setup with H&R Race, and I found I would bottom out up front on practically any bump that was anything more than small. The front spring rate on those was definitely not picked with a 6-cyl car in mind.

With the 450lb GE springs up front, the car rides and feels a ton better. I don't even bottom out on the larger bumps I hit, and the whole car feels so much more planted. I also don't need to space my upper spring perch down from the camber plate for clearance like I did for the stock perch, so the front sits lower, but has more shock travel.

For the same price, this is a way better option than any of the oem-diameter spring options out there, even if you're not into cutting your housings.

Sorry for the rant, but I'm really impressed with how they turned out.

cant wait to check it out... this is the stuff I'm going to be using on my new car. but i will cut down front housings and use ix billys... maybe little heavier rates would be good for my plans also.... cant wait to get this garage built.

any pics of the set up troy?

FYI, iX Billy's are way too soft for these spring rates. iX Koni SA's are just about perfect, though.

I checked out my new iX HD's that I bought for my iX vs the old billy sports on my iS, and I could feel the sport was stiffer, even after a few years of beatings.

No idea why they're so much softer, may have to do with the caster of iX struts?

As for pics, the closest thing I have is:

Touring is H&R Race/15mm drop hats with slightly oversized 17's, iS is on euroweaves/RZ378 with 205/50's. They seemed about the same height in front before the 17's went on.

If you can find a cheap used set of ix Billies then its worth having them re-valved. Otherwise get Konis.

Almost out of adjuster. I have about 3 kits left and then there will be an 8 week wait for some more to come in.

Are you still selling the GE coil over's?

Edit: Sorry I thought this was the Group buy thread which I already read. I'll read through this thread.

I have one set left but one of the rear adjuster is red. Got left out of the anodizing box. I can give a $10 discount on the mix matched set. New sets should arrove in about a month.

If your car still has the original shocks you'll need to replace them with premium units like bilstein sports or Koni Sa
