Here's what TRM did for me on my M54b30, this is before and after TRM tune. I'm very pleased with the bump over my original power. Compared to the S52, I'm carrying about 10 more HP and 15 TQ up to around 4300 rpm, and then the S52 gets on the cam and roars. I love the comparison.

Am I the only one that thinks those are average numbers to be made on a Dynojet with an S52? :-|

I was thinking the same thing.

I dyno'd 2ish weeks ago with my S50, with headers, exhaust, intake, and a Dinan chip. I made 232.9hp and 206ft-lbs.

I also haven't changed the plugs or coil-packs in 4ish years, have never touched the injectors, or the maf.

I do enjoy every one of those ponies, as I'm sure the OP does as well. They are fun.

204whp would be average (15% driveline loss).

His numbers are fine. If they were 12-14whp higher, many would say it makes a ton of power. Different dyno conditions, different weather, yadda yadda. I've seen a 245whp 3.2 that was a 'factory freak' engine according to the owner only to see the same car put 220-225 to the wheels on a different dyno.

Z31 has a nice torque curve and the power is really good from 5000-6600, and probably flatlines to 7000 (what you don't see on the plot).

Yup, the TRM chip redlines at 7100. But I felt no need to bang the engine off the limiter a few times for the sake of a few hundred extra RPM on the plot.

Yeah, I would say that the numbers are pretty good either way.

Depending on the milage, yes. Your S50 made relatively high numbers for what you had done to it. Most of the ones posted on BFC coincide with Buddy's numbers. I put down 235whp/229wtq with my custom dyno tune from RMS. With the TMS tune and the same mods I only put down 227whp/222wtq on the same dyno, but the AFRs weren't as nice.

Maybe I misunderstood your comment ;) Are you wondering why people are congratulating him on his dyno numbers? For me, I think it's cool that his engine is making the numbers a healthy S52 should. So many risks involved with buying a used engine, yeah know?

Maybe I mis-read the posts. It seemed as though people thought it made more than usual.

I do agree the power he made is healthy for an S52. :)

Congrats. I would/will be satisfied if I get similar numbers.

what they said. the graph looks great, especially HP in high RPMs. gotta love that big flat torque line too. im hoping for just 215whp or so with my bored/rebuilt 3 liter, but numbers dont really matter much anyway. good to see youve finished up, i bet that shit is a blast!
