I didnt mention that, but I had the wrong idea when I came up with that. It ended up building too much carnkcase pressure. So I now it routed atmospherically after the seperator. Its an OEM S14 seperator, works well!Comment

Not sure on the weight, I forgot! Its perfect balance of lightened FW and not too light. It doesnt chatter at idle too much. I drive this car ALOT. so far 17k miles since the engine went in in June of 2024Comment

is your separator drain line goes in the top wall of the oil pan or has a tube that's submerged in the oil inside the pan like on S14?Comment

In the video, the 318/M3 firewall cover has a small notch out of it, and the trumpet sticks partially into the firewall cover and the front one is shaved.
The pictures on the previous page, the trumpets clearly fit around the firewall cover and aren't shaved. Did you revise the trumpet size/shape or something?Originally posted by priapismMy girl don't know shit, but she bakes a mean cupcake.Originally posted by shamesonUsually it's best not to know how much money you have into your e30Comment

I don't think it matters but I'm about to find out that myself with my S62 oil separator on my M20 which I routed into the dip stick (I added a drain to the stock dipstick) . S14 has a tube from the oil separator into the oil pan which is submerged. S62 is not. I just not sure if there will be any blow by into the separator not only from the valve cover but also from the oil pan which will be pushing any oil up into the separator. I've seen some use a check valve on the separator drain line which is closed when the engine is running (ball pushed closed by the blow by) and open when the engine is off, allowing any oil from the separator drain down.Comment
