Couldn't beat the price $80 :D and it is one of the best mods I think. That and the short shift kit and M30 engine should make the car great.

IMO it's just as easy to keep the power steering. Just adjust the hard lines a bit and everything bolts up just like stock.

I'm keeping mine. I had to modify the hard line so the banjo bolts would align with the hose ends. I think IMO for a daily driver having power steering is a must. I replaced the reservoir and two of the hoses (not high pressure line) so there should be no leaks.

Yeah that 8lbs of pump really is a huge weight
disadvantage, I totally notice it. Well worth
muscling my car everytime I park, get below 20mph,
or just turn the wheel at all.

I used the m20 pump on my b35.
                They're the same thing.

                Haven't looked at a e28, but I bet it's the same too.

i'll keep that in mind! i was really dreading having to not run p/s.

but i have a b34 from an e24, so i'd need the bracket too...

Lower radiator hose and overflow tank issues

The lower radiator hose is not reaching the radiator. I needs to be about 1 inch longer. I did order the e28 hose which is suppossedly longer than the e32 one but no luck. Any suggestions? What did you use?
I also need suggestions where to locate the overflow tank. I have an 87 so placing a later model tank on the driver side runs into several problems. In some locations the outlet is blocked by the ABS lines or if moved more towards the driver it is blocked by the air filter housing bracket.

Use a pipe to add length. Everyone does that.

Used an e28 535i hose and it fit, it was longer than the e32/e34 hose.

I tried that, didn't work for me. I had to splice on about 2" of extra hose. BTW make sure that if you go this route, buy real actual coolant hose splicing nipples from an auto parts store. Don't just use PVC or something like that. They will get soft when hot and come apart, stranding you on the side of the road.

                            Ask me how I know.

Depends on the engine arms/mounts I bet.

Any issues if I position the tank below the upper radiator hose? After bleeding of course.
