Nope. Far from it. And like I said has a similar design to conventional engines that are used today. As far as working? it has already been proven.

The best part is that it doesn't use a head gasket (which is the weakest part in any engine) but is similar to your standard engine design. My engine design will be able to produce easily 250 hp per liter without breaking a sweat. It will be perfect for racing, towing, long trips or just reliability for those who want it. It will be very easy to tune for us modifiers well if bmw lets us into their system. And parts will be very easy to obtain. I have more but enough for now until I can get more done.
How is the head gasket the weakest part on an engine?

Because it lies in the combustion chamber. Why do you think that's the first thing to let go under extreme boost and/or compression?

Because they are using shitty head bolts and their tune is shit. But I guess it depends on the engine, a WRX for example will blow the piston ring lands before the HG pops.

OP does this new engine use forced injection?

And if you ever had one go on you, you know that it cost a bit more than you would want to pay if you had a shop do it or if you do your own work like many of us, we prob need to get the head milled and that plus new gasket/head bolts adds up. In blown HG's are no fun. That's why I eliminated it altogether.

Injection? Forced induction and direct injection yes. But you can run it n/a as well.

How did you do the calculations for HP and MPG's?

No your not understanding it right. I said that design is your everyday run of the mill internal combustion engine but I've made it stronger, and more efficient by re-designing the head/block to allow my variable compression system to work. I dont know how much simpler I can explain it without spilling the beans or sounding like I'm talking to a 1st grade class.

                            troll much?

if you were really serious about patenting your revolutionary design, you wouldn't be asking about patenting it on an E30 forum. you'd be talking to a patent lawyer and finding ways to come up with the tens of thousands of dollars needed to get it through the system, building prototypes, etc. Also making sure nobody else knew anything about your new, revolutionary design. And figuring out how to sell or license it to the big auto manufacturers.

Not posting it on a forum dedicated to cars that ended production 20 years ago. And I know not everyone here is a broke 16 year old kid, but really.. many of the people here can't afford $100 parts, and you're asking for advice on patenting a device potentially worth millions of dollars? really?

we'll just have to stick this in the same category as the guy with the "lagless turbo" design. 100% pure beef bullshit.

calculations? Pffft. Thermodynamics don't mean shit.

Did I say thermodynamics ment anything? No I just answered his question. And I am very serious about it and I know the process and $ it takes to get one. And from the sound of it no one knows anything about my design other than the info I have mentioned before. What does it matter where I post to obtain feedback or info on a part, install, patents or anything automotive related in this "general discussion" thread. Maybe you can't afford a $100 part but don't speak for others. And It only takes one good source of info to help and obviously the rest need to grow up.

Here you go, you should sign up for Physics C – Mechanics or some other class that will make smarter then a first grader.
