$500 to the first person to tell me where I can find Speedracer_2002
srsly though, I don't get why everyone is calling for blood. He's returned the $, time to move on. It's not our job, nor our right, to try and "teach him a lesson". Money returned, case closed. Move on kids.

I hate seeing stuff like this happen on forums, it sucks, and I've seen it so many times on every forum I've been a part of. Always seems to start with the same thing though, sending paypal money as a gift.

^ It's not as black and white as that. Phreshkid has a legal right to press charges as he was the one who was wronged. He can listen to others advice but he has legal concourse. Also, the law has stiffer consequences than "put the money back where you got it." What the guy is most likely doing (by using different paypal accounts) is scamming someone else to pay back phreshkid. To this effect, he's hoping (possibly multiple) other people won't do anything about their stolen money in order to appease the one guy who did. Choosing not to make an example of him only perpetuates the scam and is why it must be stopped.
I am doing a group buy on the 2002 FAQ, 31 customers, thousands of dollars at stake, with an 8-12 week lead time on the sale. Someone suggested that I post an update, in light of "that recent Speedracer debacle."
I had no idea at the time that this magnitude of skullduggery was afoot. :o
As of many years ago, I resolved to stay open and very public with the facts for sales and purchases, BOY am I GLAD I DID. And thanks to all of you who have supported my lighting business, it's made me feel 'very useful.' And helps me pay the bills...
Oh, and a PS - I'll not be asking folks to send a 'F&F money transfer' again, it just seems too tarnished by things like this... last thing I want to do is behave like a scammer in any way.
Now go check your tail lights! :D

Corvallis, They're saying it's possible for the dude to, at a later date, make a claim with PayPal and get the refunded money back again. And it's very possible.
