I would actually like to see some better photos/details on the actual damage. there is obviously some panel misalignment which should be able to be fixed with some creative panel beating of the mounts

All i've read so far is a broken sump and a steering rack, which isnt that bad.....

labor is gonna cost regardless of the car. Would Cost you 400bucks in labor to put a steering rack in a civic if you pay someone.

Not if you can fix the car with just a 10 and 13 mm socket

I don't think there is panel mis alignment. The mechanics also said a possible bad wheel bearing, there is cosmetic damage to an engine mount and the top is cracked, they also said that the engine is louder than normal and that N20s do fail commonly. So if the engine dies on me I am totally 10000% fucked. Why I need to get rid of it soon.

Oh, but I got an alignment at a professional shop and they told me the frame was straight.

Are you mechanically minded at all?

Cause nothing here is suggesting you need to pay anyone to do it, you aren't rebuilding the engine, just bolting things on and off. Don't be scared cause its a newish car, bolts are bolts.

This is really unfortunate to hear what has happened to the OP. I'm not going to be critical or judge......plenty of that in the thread already.

What really bugs me is people who knowingly sell cars with shady history or disclose nothing about serious issues that lie beneath the skin. Sure there's the buyers' due diligence to ensure things are ok......but the fact that something like this is even for sale is just wrong.

The people who do this kind of shit to innocent/unsuspecting people will get what's coming to them some day in the future. Karma is a real bitch and it doesn't play favorites.

This is r3v, not Bimmerforums. The OP was more than aware what was going to happen when he posted this.

You don't have the title because the bank owns the car, not you.
You'll get it when you pay it off.

Geez... This is really dumb. I think the most important thing here is to NOT blame anyone but yourself. If you're going to convince other people to spend their money on you, you should be diligent and observant enough to make sure you aren't throwing away money that isn't yours. You're clearly not very experienced with car buying or cars in general, and someone with a better eye and sense for dealing with people should have been involved and should have been able to identify at least some of these issues before purchasing the car.

Even now, with the repairs, don't blindly give money to mechanics who are telling you all the things wrong with the car. Do some of the work on your own, do some research, put in the time and effort to make things right. Most people in the automotive industry are terrible at their jobs and generally are not trustworthy, and you could very well be throwing away money "repairing" the car as well.

That said, we've all made dumb decisions when younger and learned from them, so I hope you are learning a lot here.
