Need a DD though that I don't care about running into the ground, and will pass inspection. So Saab has to stay.

If I'm not driving it every day, I'm not too concerned with keeping the inspection up to date.

the engine needs to come out for a trans rebuild and replacement 1-2 shift collar. Common issue, Audi updated the part.

While it's out, I think it's time for an upgrade. Let's shoot for 600awhp.

So I've worked out a deal to pick up a BF (late, stronger block), 2.8 cams, and 2.8 exhaust manifolds.

I've also worked a trade with a close friend for a freshly clipped/balanced S256, 38mm wastegate, and random odds/ends like feed/return lines and possibly a big BOV.

Total cost at this point will be +$800. Turbo and parts I will be trading another toy for, and the block/cams/manifolds is a trade for my current turbos/in/maf + $800 from him.

I've already got a decent Mig welder, so I'm going to buy a TIG welder and make this shit happen.

Shooting for 500-550 on 93+meth, and 600+ on e85. I'll be wringing the s256 for all it's worth.

Unfortunately, still early in planning. I won't be wrenching in this until after I'm settled into the new house.

Lol, at the rate I'm going we'll be at 700 wheel before long. I'm excited to go single though, bigger power will just be a turbo swap away.

The new engine will get rods, new rings, hone, bearings, and a girdle. Blocks seen to crack around the 600wtq mark. The girdles haven't really been proven, but then again I haven't found any blocks cracking with one on.

Anywho, 600whp should be fun for a while. I'd love to pull off some 13xmph traps.

Picked up turbo and wastegate today.

And... This is already getting out of hand. He offered it up, and I said what the hell.

So, now I'm going to shoot for 700awhp on the juice. The nitrous will be brought into the occasion after I've got everything dialed in on e85.

Nah, I'm just in love with what I've been able to do with this car for a relatively small amount of money.

                      I mean, why stop?

Crazy will be when I realize that the s256 is just too small for my goals and I put a s366 in there.

One step at a time though. Gotta focus on the house for now. But, this is definitely happening, and I can't wait.

You're absolutely right. Single turbo madness is fantastic, because as long as you have the bottom end, clutch, and fuel, you are a turbo swap and a tune away from more hp.

My Evo made 500whp on 93 and no meth, with 29psi hitting at ~3200rpms.

                        You're gonna have some fun!

Decided to check out the turbo and remove the 1.2 ar housing in favor of the .82 that came with it.

So, the exhaust wheel has some damage on the very outer edge, which I was told about. The CHRA was sent out to be balanced and inspected afterwards (2j ate a valve and sent a piece through the turbo). The guy who did the work on the turbo said it balanced fine, and he considered it a "stage 2 clipped wheel" lol. Oh well, my friend trusts the guys opinion so I'm going to run the piss out of it and see what happens. Judging by photos of what it was originally, I'd say at most 1mm has been removed from the turbine wheel. If all goes well, maybe I'll experience a slight loss of spool in exchange for more flow. That's looking on the bright side.

Good news, is that the compressor wheel is an extended tip, so that's a fun surprise.

Can't wait to really start the project.

I would go straight for the s366

I keep going back and forth between buying a porsche and keeping the 335i a daily or single turbo the 335i to 700+ whp and get a 535xi wagon as a daily

Also whats your thoughts on B8 S4 I told my dad to look at them I would be interested in them if i wasnt addicted to this n54
