I will say, in my brief time in LA I did get the rental rav4 airborne on the I-5, so I get it. For some reason your roads have massive woops like a baja track. It's fun, but unsettling at 100mph.

some 2k clear or headlight PPF (Maybe even more of a pain with curved headlights?).
Neither are fun to deal with. Maybe a ceramic coating would be easier, just not sure how well it holds up.

The Freeways in the LA (5 & 405 in particular) sustained some pretty crazy earthquakes which did cause a bit of those woops you're describing. I drive the 405 a LOT and I have to warn my family when they are coming up because even at 80mph in a Jeep it can scare the ladies... the particular interchange I highlighted, and the event in question occured near triple digit speeds (allegedly) but the hit was massive enough that Im sure we caught air... In an effort to try and eliminate the occasional flashing GP light and random CEL, I decided to tackle the item that seems to be the cause of the P2015 code. This code has been consistent and so I finally decided to get one from FCPEuro.

I also purchased a thermostat and a coolant pipe that is allegedly leaking ever so slowly. I kinda want this car leak free, so I am slowly tackling the items. I was a little nervous that this would be a pain, but other than getting that final hose clamp back on post-installation it was pretty easy.

I cleared the codes and we'll see if it comes back...

Oh and I already curbed the front right wheel

Had to make a small excursion into DTLA, had to stop here... Also drove the 6th St bridge, but no cool rolling shots because.... its just me

This throttle body thing might need some adjustments or something... feels like an on/off switch

Well... the car needs a smog & a registration and IF I do these things, it would mark a RECORD for how long I have kept a Daily Driver ... perhaps ever since I have had a DD plus something else...

So naturally, the car decided it wanted to get into my pocket. Ignition tumbler needs to be replaced, luckily I have a friend who is willing to tackle it for the right price.

In the meantime I have been DDing the E30 and while it sort of works with what I need, I cant take both kiddos in it so its been a bit limiting. I've had my eyes on some MK7 GTis to replace this car, but so far my resistance to going to see them in person is working. Hopefully the work doesnt take too long.
