love the narrow body 996, really aged like fine wine even though it didn't look like it would for a while.

headlights would look fantastic with a good polish. love the ducktail.

Recaro install is complete and totally worth it and a HUGE improvement over the stock 'comfort' seats.

Summarizing it all in a little video, but heres the jist of the cause of the delay on installing

If you have a child seat in the back of a P car it'd better be a Recaro too, or whatever is more fancy than that.

The fanciest is the Porsche labelled seat, but its $800. The Recaro seats actually dont fit that well. This one works

The OEM stereo has been quite disappointing but I wanted to retain as much of an OEM look so when I discovered this video by “The Throttle Cable.” I have a few of his videos saved, and this one was great.

Here is the collection of audio equipment

Quite a difference between the old and the new.

That said, these are still just 4” speakers so I wasn’t expecting a world of a difference but overall I’m much happier with the audio. Goal was to get it done before heading to the Cars & Coffee at Porsche of Santa Clarita. It’s a bit of a drive so having the improved audio was the goal and I’m glad I did it. That said, I went out this morning and the c&c was cool, the dealership is amazing with its gems hiding downstairs

I’ve also parts have been ordered from Pelican, so stay tuned for that update because it will be quite boring

                  Boring Update Number 1

I changed the air filter with a GENUINE PORSCHE piece I wasnt sure how old the current one was, and it was a good looking Mahle (or was it Meyle?), so I just put it in the box and threw it in the box of old parts. Speaking of old parts, I snapped some pics of the Bilsteins that were on the car previously as I'm looking to sell those off. Between the Bilsteins & the current coilovers I might have half the money towards the good coilovers I actually want, but more importantly less crap in my garage.

I don't know why I've avoided reading this thread. Maybe jealousy? haha
Great pickup, looking forward to more 2man content.

Hey now, the EZ36 is the best motor Subaru ever made.
It's a shame they didn't put it in anything cool and paired it to only the most crap transmissions.

Excuse me Sir!... Im definitely in the 30s now.

That said, of the last 5 cars I've owned and multiple canyon runs Ive down with Sh3rpak!ng this last one we did was the first time he has been shocked to see me keeping up with him.

Thats all I will say. Hopefully I can get it to Buttonwillow as I want to see what it will run there. Im not too interested in Big Willow and those are the only 2 tracks I have times at

                          Boring update Number 2

One issue that came up on the PPI was the frunk shocks were toast.

                          Problem solved.

Thanks! Forgot to also share this! Original order from Pelican was 'decklid' not 'front hood' shocks or whatever a hood and trunk are called in Porsche World... anyways this was me going back in person to swap em out
