I agree, which is why I'm firm on my price and not expecting it to go anywhere. Besides I have some goodies waiting to go in, so yea unless someone falls in love with it and is willing to give me the asking price its not going anywhere

      Happy New Years!

Took the car out for my annual New Years Day drive with a few buddies. Decided to head up to Newcombs the back way and were pleasantly surprised while hanging out with an unexpected 911.

This thing looks pretty stunning in person, doesnt really blow you away with its looks, however knowing its all Carbon is cool, but the magic is under that engine lid. It sounded unreal.

I put a sound clip on my IG story @the_tuman_show might still be there if you hurry...

NICE! I got a 300 mile drive in on the Cayman through the twisties!

But I'd never run into a 911 like that out here!

I was up above it, Now I'm down in it ~ Entropy - A Build thread.

Jealous that you're able to drive yours on New Years! I wish I could do that with mine... I'm dying to drive it again!

Was hoping to hit the canyons but with the fires everything was closed for safety… ended up just cruising around and snapping this pic near Dockweiler beach… sadly that’s not coastal fog, but smoke from the Palisades fires.

Cars still here, and I'm still doing stuff. After that last drive, I had a bit of a shock that had happened randomly prior where the car wouldn't start immediately and would take a second attempt. That last drive however I had a bit of a shock on my last stop before getting home and then suddenly it wouldn't start. Luckily it was right in front of my house. I had used the 911 to jump start my E30 while I had a weak battery on the E30. The E30 got a new battery recently so now it was time to return the favor and the E30 jumped the 911... anyways, I finally bit the bullet and got an Antigravity battery and got myself a tender and all that. A solid 30# weight reduction, and while its on the nose and not the tail it still finally, and officially gets me under 3000#...

Old Battery came in at ~45#

              New Battery is ~14#

So call that good news, the bad news was that on that same drive it seems I picked up a souvenir and have to get this patched.

Finally had a chance to head up the mountain this past Friday and it was a nice trip up. Took it at a casual 6/10. I don’t normally do the typical gas station pic, but in this case I decided to as there’s a lot of gems in the background.

I wanted to cruise behind the 365GT so I could hear the Ferrari V12, but he was driving too slow and waved me by, and remember I was only going at 6/10…

On the way up I made sure to snap the obligatory 996 mileage pic just before crossing 108k

Im nearly at 2 years of ownership so that means Im averaging 4k miles per year. Good times. The cool guys were at a parking lot in Orange County (@ AutoKennel), so the crowd was thinner but still some great cars.

Nearly a month later and Im still here. My buddy was also in town so I let him borrow the E30 to take up to GVBC and I met him there later on in the 911.

Luckily the photographer that was up there also got some pics of me and my buddies so I saved them all

I asked my buddies for a 'drive-by' pic when I had to leave and he got this shot...

                  Bonus pic of the E30

Been busy clearing out the other distractions in the house. I bought this E30 last year with full intention of reselling this year. I had originally planned to rent it out for a few months, but with the new kiddo in the house there is even less time for cars so I have decided to list it on Bring a Trailer while its still in the 90-day smog transfer window for CA Residents.

Had a busy day and got a lot of work done, so I settled down in the garage after all the girls were asleep and enjoyed a Cigar...

That video will probably devalue the car, I mean, how could you abuse it by actually driving it? You also did more than an oil change since you had it, suspicious.

At least that's my impression of BaT driving videos/ads.

                          "Monthly" Update

E30 auction went well and the garage is less packed now! Of course my pocket is a little heavier and I've been tempted again to make the jump to an aircooled. Decided I should spend some more time behind the wheel of the 996, especially going to see these temptations and naturally the 996 is showing just how good it is.

First was to see fellow 996 owner and lover, Scott Kelly's 72 "RS Targa" Its a lovely 50+ year old Targa that is powered by a 964 3.6L motor and a 915 gearbox. Expectations were relatively low, but it was a lovely little car. Its more of a driving project, which is absolutely dangerous for a hopeless romantic like myself.

Had to snap a few pics of the two next to each other

Yesterday I attended the C&C at Griffith Park and theres always a various collection of cars. Kiddo loves going because she gets half a donut & to play in the park before we head to Church.

I loved this 964, it appears it began life as a Tip, but was manual swapped...

I liked this angle, another tale of the tail...

LMK if they are still not working. They work fine for me.

Looks like that 72 Targa is going to sell for $48k which was higher than my offer and honestly the 996 is much better than the aircooled cars I've driven so I dont think its going to go anywhere.

The 996 was a leap forward in performance for sure.

It would take a lot of $$$ to get an air cooled Porsche to keep up with your setup in the canyons
