The Blue color Rocks. The Varity of modifications to air cooled 911's for me is what keeps car meets interesting. Otherwise its the same old boring cars each time.

Chilezen I could careless about whoever organizes it. I went for cars and my buddies.

OSAH racing The problem is everyone wants to build a 'Singer' and so they are very similar... still it was overall a good looking turbo, maybe a factory 930.

Yeah those Chameleon eyes looking headlights are very odd and the rest of the car is pretty standard widebody late 60s/early 70s(?) 911 affair.

Somehow Singer is able to make it work and the knock-ffs all look like cheap copies.

Hows everyones Fall coming along? LA has such a dynamic climate. Being on the westside we have had fog/ coastal coverage and 'comfy' 60* weather, while everything around us was hit with a heatwave this weekend and it was in the 90s+ in many places...

Still didnt stop me from hitting Angeles Crest when I can!.. Also, unbeknownst to me theres a Corvette that had just crashed in this pic LOL #respectthecrest

Fall here has been productive, but on nothing car related unfortunately. Your 996 is looking great.

This weekend I didn’t end up going up Angeles Crest and ended up going up to Malibu and stopped at Stunt Rd. There has been a lot of accidents up there lately, one I. The prior pic and then, the very next week someone in a 370Z crashed in that same section, it was pretty bad and they blocked ACH for over an hour while they airlifted him out. Conflicting reports if he made it or not. SLOW Down!!

I have to smog the car so I took the mufflers off, and the Rennline air box too. Sadly the air box and the ducktail weren’t playing well together so the air box had to go. Sold it locally pretty quick… small financial loss lol… Ce La Vie

Getting you caught up on this weeks afterhours work and what todays nervousness was...

~4500 miles since the last oil change, which sadly for me was a little over 6 months. I will do better next time. I also need to send this into Blackstone, Im delaying in the hopes I will find the kit I stored from the last change and have a proper historical data

Figured Friday the 13th would be the best day to go face the enemy.

                    Luckily, it was quite painless

                      You passed.
Living in CA is a pain in the ass to pass smog.
Im glad I don’t have to that route.

Look at using DI40 & use Speediagnostix for the oil testing. I switched over, doesn't seem quite as quiet, but the numbers come back lower for wear materials..

Are you shooting for 3,000 intervals?

moatilliatta I listed it because there was a really good deal on a 996 GT3, that I got to drive. Simply put, my car handles just as good as a GT3, but that Metzger motor is magic. Special.

That said, the GT3 is sold so I have a much lower desire to sell because the only other options I have considered are all inferior. Now, 2 of the 3 options Im considering are aircooled cars, which is something I've always wanted... but yea.. inferior gearbox and less power...

I wouldn't bet on anyone giving me $40k for my car, and 2025 should see a few choice mods waiting to install.

The only way I see of getting "Value" back is trading someone who has done similar work. As its easy to spend 10K getting a car up to spec, but hard to sell 2k above market once done..
