Tyres check. I weighed the rims and located them accordingly to each corner. While balancing them, I tried rotating tyres on rim do different positions so I'd get away with less of those glue-on weights. Not much success there..
Spare is a 145/80R14 regular tyre. Ofcourse, it can only be used on front axle because of it's slightly different radius. I put on stickers to remind myself about it.
And there it sits

This happened to a friend of mine a few years back during a trackday
That got me re-thinking the neccessary equipment on a car. I can always leave the spare at the pits when I'm on track.
Another thing.. Those spray-inside-the-tyre type repair foams clog the tyre valve, and I'd want to clean it off when I get the chance to repair a puncture properly. Proper repair meaning a patch istalled inside the tyre.Last edited by petrolhead; 05-14-2016, 11:27 PM.Comment

I can't remember the specifics.
Anyway, just about everyone else too has commented "WTF a spare tyre on that thing?" :D
And it's good to have a spare on board when driving to the E30-meet. In the past I've had to give mine to some young guy who destroys his rears due to shitload of camber wear :D
-I did leave the spare un balanced to save weight ;). No one in their right mind would drive fast anyway with a 145/80R14 in one corner.Comment

With factory parts you end up with a ... stock E30. And who wants that? That's not the last or first wheel I've seen destroyed.
Im really curious what the final weight ends up beingLast edited by petrolhead; 05-16-2016, 12:08 AM.Comment
